TGRTC Billion-Dollar Entity Now: Sajjanar

Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGRTC) has transformed from a loss making business to a billion-dollar company due to hard work of 50,000 employees, V C Sajjanar said.

Addressing a Conference on ‘Navigating Corporate Failure and Digital Fraud: Pathways to Success,’ organised by Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) in the city, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of TGRTC, V C Sajjanar said, “I was a hardcore police officer, tasked to manage TGRTC as the Managing Director. I did not know anything about business. When I took over, the Corporation was not doing well. When I took charge, the total turnover was Rs 3,800 crore in September 2021. We turned it around in four years. Today it is a billion-dollar company. The turnover is likely to reach Rs10,000 crore next year.” He recognised the commitment and hard work of TGRTC’s 50,000 employees for this transformation.
